Tammy’s paper on the impact of nephrology referral on CKD outcomes has been published in CJASN (link)

We welcome Adi Stiassnie, who will be doing her bioinformatics undergrad project in the lab under Assaf’s supervision, on optimizing neurodegenerative disease scales.

Congratulations to Tammy, who won the Maus prize for excellent MSc students in computer science.

The study by Dan and Thomy, done jointly with Profs. Boursi and Ben-Ami, on the demographic correlates of fungi abundance in tumor genomic samples has been published in Microbiology Spectrum (link).

Shira Einy, who did her undergrad project with us, is officially starting as an MSc student in the lab. Welcome aboard!

Assaf’s paper on optimizing the MDS-UPDRS scale for measuring progression in Parkinson’s disease has been published in npj Parkinson’s Disease (link). The work is joint with Profs. Anat Mirelman and Roy Alcalay of Ichilov Hospital.

Assaf, who did is MSc in the group, has just started his PhD. Welcome back Assaf!

Congrats to Ron Saad, who submitted his MSc thesis and passed the final MSc exam!

A large study led by Carmit Levy published in Cell (link) has shown that melanoma cells evade T-cell immunity by secreting melanosomes, and identified the mechanism. Dvir Netanely of our group was involved in the computational analysis.

We welcome Efrat Nitay, a new research assistant in the group. Efrat will be working with Noam on EMR data harmonization.
