Welcome to Hagai Levi, who is joining the group as an MSc student (co-supervised by Prof. Carmit Levy, Medicine).

Congratulations to Idan, who completed his MSc thesis, co-supervised by Rani Elkon, on HI-C data analysis.

Read Tom and Didi’s recent paper on BioRxiv describing the FOCS algorithms for enhancer-promoter linking, and an extensive map of more than 300,000 links based on vast ENCODE, Roadmap, Fantom and GroSeq data.

We welcome Dan Coster, who is joining the group as an MSc student.  Dan is a student in the Lautman program and will be working on precision medicine.

Ron and Meirav’s paper giving a linear time algorithm for copy number transformation was published in JCB.

The PROMO tool is now available for download by beta users here. Promo,  developed by Dvir and Neta, streamlines analysis of large multi-omic datasets in cancer.      

Didi’s paper (with Dani Yekutieli) proposing new methods to control the FDR when analyzing together multiple studies appeared in PLoS Comp. Bio. 

Congratulations to Dvir, who won an excellence prize for his abstract in the 2nd Graduate Students Symposium on Cancer held by the DJERASSI-ELIAS Institute of Oncology at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine. The symposium was held in July 2017.

Roye’s paper, describing a streaming de novo assembly graph construction algorithm, has just appeared in Bioinformatics.
